Your parents can add you to their policy and show you as the full time driver for this car. Insurance is required for any vehicle being driven on the public roadways. You do not want to be driving a car without insurance should you be involved in an accident. The fines alone would be a killer. If you intend to take the car to college and it is on your parents policy you should inform your insurance carrier. The fact is that if the college is in a better rated area than where you live you could actually save money on your insurance. If you have a loan on the car the bank will usually require that you carry physical damage coverage ( collision and comprehensive ) to protect their interests while they are a lien holder on the vehicle. The best advice any one can give you is to speak to your insurance agent or your insurance carrier. That is what you are paying them for.

IF you take out a loan, then you will need to have verifiable insurance…and it has to be full coverage. If you have limited liability insurance on the car you are trading in, then you have to upgrade your insurance before taking final delivery. If you pay cash, they it’s not the dealerships responsibility. If you go to buy a car on a Saturday, Sunday, or any day your insurance company is closed, then most dealerships will place you on a dealer tag and have you sign a rental agreement, which means that you are covered under the dealerships insurance if you need….however most dealerships have high deductibles. IF you don’t have insurance, you can get an insurance binder for a month or so of coverage. Talk to your dealer reguarding binders. If you are trading in a car with full coverage, then you have a grace period, which varies from state to state as well as insurance company. If you lease, you must have full coverage and sometimes more coverage for bodily injury…100/300 and so on. I hope this clears things up for you!

Insurance companies require what is called an insurable interest. As long as you have a logical reason for insuring you mother then typically the carrier will let you. However, depending on the amount of coverage she already has most companies limit the amount of total insurance a person can own based on financial need. If you only talking about insuring her for a small amount, under $25,000, typically their is no issue of needing financial information to justify the coverage. If you are applying for coverage above $100,000 the insurance company may require that you show proof of financial need. You will need to have her permission and she will need to complete and sign the application and submit to any of the underwriting requirements of the carrier. You can be the owner, payer and beneficiary of the policy but only with her consent.Insurance companies limit the aggregate (total) amount of insurance on a insured to prevent a beneficiary from profiting from a persons death. For example, if a person has a net worth of $100,000 the insurance company may allow the person to have.

No–if you have insurance coverage that meets your home state’s requirements, it won’t cost you any more to take the trip for insurance. If you have an accident in another state, your insurance will automatically adjust for another state’s higher limits or for no-fault coverage. For good coverage, though, you should carry at least 100/300/50 limits. Ask your agent about this.Even if your company doesn’t usually write in all states, you’re still covered. Just be sure to have the insurance ID card with you at all times, and be sure the license for anyone who might drive is current. Also, be sure your policy is paid up for at least the length of the trip.We did the same thing in the summer of 1988–a 31-day, 7000-mile trip out west, including several states where our regular company doesn’t normally write insurance, and had no problems at all.Enjoy!

totally depends on what type of Life insurance you are looking for….Whole Life? Universal Life? 5 year term? 10 year? 15 year? 20 year? 30 year? Term to 65? Term to 85? Term to 100?Also, depends on how much. Some companies specialize in the small market ($ 100,000 or less), some focus on the middle of the pack, others focus on the Million dollar and up market. Also, depends on the demographics of the family member. Some companies focus on being competitive for smokers, some focus on non-smoking market. Some focus on being competitive for young females, some focus on old males. Would also depend if there are any pre-existing conditions and/or prior health history.Every company tends to focus on one or 2 products to really push and be the best at. Your best bet is to contact a local insurance broker. An insurance broker will take in your specific details on what you are looking for and will shop around for you (typically at no extra charge) and find a company and product that best suits your need.
