So you want to be a locavore

"We have lost a connection with the people who grow our food," Brooks noted, adding that she makes it a point to search out farm stands and farms on her route whenever she hits the road. And, her searches have been successful, allowing her to get her hands on eggs, cheeses, fresh produce and fruit.
Those interviewed said it is important to start small, perhaps first devoting 10 percent of the weekly food budget to more sustainable purchases.
"It will be a dismal failure if you try to make a radical change," Paik said. "A good place to start is to look at the regular items you already eat in your house and see if you can buy local instead."????????
