Colquitt County head football coach Rush Propst says Lowndes coach Randy McPherson is lying if he denies a conspiracy to steal signs last week in a football game between the two Region 1 AAAAAA schools, the Moultrie Observer is reporting.
Lowndes won the game 17 14. The Georgia High School Association confirmed Thursday that it is investigating allegations that a coach that Propst fired two years ago was using binoculars to watch Colquitt's sideline and relaying signals to Lowndes' coaching staff in the press box,air jordan 7.
A video shows a man standing in front of the visiting press box and watching the game with binoculars,Louboutin homme, then apparently communicating with Lowndes' coaches in the press box. The man alleged to be stealing the signs is Buzz Payne,jordan shoes for women, now part of Thomas County Central's staff.
"It was a planned act between Lowndes,christian louboutin shoes, Buzz Payne and Thomas County Central," Propst told the Moultrie Observer. McPherson denied the charges earlier this week in an article in the Valdosta Daily Times,hogan outlet.
"I have seen the video and I have never seen the man in the video,air jordan 6," McPherson told the Valdosta newspaper. "He is in no way associated with our program. I even asked my coaches if they could hear him they couldn't. I can't help what some fan does in the stands."
Propst told the newspaper that McPherson is not being truthful,longchamp paris.
"What they have said is a blatant lie,christian louboutin outlet," Propst said. "Randy said that he didn't know Buzz Payne. He knows Buzz Payne as well as he knows me. That is a blatant lie.''
The GHSA has said that the result of the game will not be overturned. Other penalties might arise if the allegations are proven true.
I watched the video and I gotta say I am hard pressed to come up with any other explanation for what is going on than relaying signals. But even if the signals have not changed, is it not common practice to have 2 3 people giving different signals and only the QB knows which one is real and the others are decoys?
I go to Lassiter games and they hold their signs up on large cutouts instead of hand signals. No binoculars needed. The signs are simple with pictures and initials. Both backup QBs each hold up a different sign every play. Maybe one guy is always real and the other is always fake. Maybe they alternate who is real. Only players coach know. We never claimed that the sign stealing is what beat us, we know we got beat on the field. Lowndes had a better game plan everyone fails to see or they overlook on purpose is that the kids are the victims. Colquitt and Lowndes kids both!!! Because of Buzz Payne blatant hatred for Coach Propst!!! He has put his own school in question along with Lowndes of their involvement or not.????????
