Parkland's Trumbauer is volleyball coach of year

Scott Trumbauer recalls being 22 years old when he took over as Parkland's boys volleyball coach in 2001,Louboutin chaussures, a fresh faced college graduate who was stepping into a position full of responsibility.
"It's funny," he said, "I look back on those first five or six years and I don't know how I made it through. Parents were sending their sons on bus rides [with the team] several hours away and I was accountable. For all I knew, they could have run off and never come back."
Trumbauer survived and has thrived.
He has compiled a 155 69 record in 12 years as the leader of Parkland's program,longchamps pliage, winning two District 11 Class 3A titles and three Lehigh Valley Conference crowns. This year,air jordan, Trumbauer's Trojans won a conference championship and finished 16 2.
They lost twice to three time district champ Emmaus, including a season ending setback in the district semifinals. Parkland, though, defeated the Green Hornets en route to its third LVC crown in five years.
Trumbauer is The Morning Call's coach of the year.
"I look at our season,christian louboutin sale, the schedule we played and we didn't lose to anyone that wasn't a state ranked team," said Trumbauer,Louboutin homme pas cher, who included the numerous weekend tournaments in which Parkland competed. "We didn't lose to anyone in the area who wasn't named Emmaus. It wasn't the way we wanted our season to end but it happens in win or go home scenarios."
Trumbauer isn't a coach who used to play volleyball. He is a player who coaches the sport he loves. Still active in numerous leagues throughout the year,air jordan 11, the 34 year old graduate of Parkland and Susquehanna University is a player's coach.
He is quiet but intense,air jordan 1, demanding but understanding.
"I still play a lot and I pass along things to my players that are fresh in my mind, things that I still experience. I feel like I'm laid back but our kids know what is expected," Trumbauer said.
Ryan Trumbauer, his older brother and assistant coach,jordans shoes, said,Louboutin pas cher femme, "Scott's knowledge of the game and how he communicates it with the players is what makes him a great coach."
The brothers live several minutes apart in Breinigsville and converse often about various topics, but most regularly about volleyball.
"I give Ryan a lot of credit,longchamp sac," said the younger brother, by three years. "Multiple times this year he suggested things that he thought would work better than what we were doing and he was right. He'd just wink or nod."
This Parkland team was not Trumbauer's most talented. But it was one of his best.
The Trojans were balanced, they played outstanding defense, hustled and competed as a cohesive unit. Senior Michael Lewis was Parkland's only LVC all star.
It was the type of team Trumbauer enjoyed coaching,jordan shoes for sale.
"This was one of the first times we didn't have that one superstar or that one player who hit the ball the hardest or who was four inches taller than everyone," he said. "Our talent was very even, player one through 13, and a deep bench was a huge attribute to have."????????
